New paint storage parts

We have been busy lately putting the final touches on some new paint storage options. The goal with these is to offer a complete storage system for all your hobby needs. The first two parts of the system are complete and shipping now.

First up is a new design for our 50 pot Modular Paint Tower. This version has 2 fixed shelves set at a nice shallow angle to make it easy to see and reach paints in the back row. The design also adds a second set of tray supports to better handle the weight of a full tray without tipping.

The second piece is the Modular Drawer Unit with 25 paint tray. This is perfect for smaller paint collections or specialty applications such as airbrush paints. The drawers are 6x8x0.75", perfect for storing small items like decals or brush soap.

The units are shown with GW style paints but can be cut to fit paints from other manufactures such as Privateer Press, Reaper and Vellejo. Note these paints may be smaller or larger than the GW pots so the actual capacity will be shifted accordingly. The pieces can be purchased separately or as a set. As always custom engraving is available.

Minifig Case ready to ship

We can put another done stamp on another project. After making some minor change the final design for the Lego Minifig model case is now ready to ship. The primary change is in adding a face frame to help strengthen the top and bottom bands. This framework was kept as thin as possible to allow the maximum amount of light but still keep the framework sturdy. The piece shown is in wood but it is also available in an all acrylic design.

New Products - Skirmish / Model Transport Trays

The likelihood that you will be stationed on the same table for a full 3 or 4 game tournament is very small. Eventually you are going to have to move to another table. Now the problem, grab the models by the handfull and move them usually scratching the paint you spent hours painting, take 10 minutes to put you army back in the case and move it then scramble to get it all unpacked before the next round starts or uses a book or other make shift tray to move them. Well here is a new option, custom cut and engraved transport trays. The trays are available sized from 5x7" for low model count games through a maximum size of 9x13" for larger model counts. Design is fully customizable with you chosing the size and layout for all the models. We also offer a few standard layouts. All trays include carry handles and have a soft EVA foam backing  to help eliminate sliding. As always custom engraving is available for all designs. Prices start at $8 for the smallest tray and go through $20 for the largest tray with pre-cut magnet holes for safer storage.

Adepticon is over now and I learned allot about gamers

Just got back form Adepticon and it is time to start releasing some new stuff. I decided that I needed to ask more gamers what they really want to see and their thoughts on the existing products I have been making. Talk about a loaded question. Everyone I spoke with loved the stuff I was already doing and had great suggestions on new stuff to add. Most were great and doable, a few were a little grand and way to difficult to accomplish, and their was one that, well, lets just say there are some things I will not be making at any cost. On second thought, if we are talking a number followed by 6 zeros, and the check clears we can talk.

Back on target. I spoke with allot of gamers to get their ideas on what they would like to see. The biggest thing I heard from them were low prices and customization. Both are things that are close to my idea for the direction of Burn In Designs. Next was broken flight stand complaints and finally stuff for the pro painter.

So with that information I started designing and making prototypes. So coming soon I will be showing off, new things like custom fit vehicle flight stands, miniatures carry trays, new marker shapes, custom turn and damage counter, paint and brush tray systems and even carry cases for those wonderful Crystal Brush and Golden Demon minis. So watch this space because big things are coming.

We also handle custom projects, built to order and to your specifications.

Here are some examples of our work and product offerings. If you see anything you like or have questions about custom projects, email us at BURNINDESIGNS @ GMAIL.COM.

50 pot paint rack

50 Pot Paint Rack

This is our 50 pot paint tray. It will hold 25 paints per tray. Each tray is cut to support both the old GW hex pots or the new GW round pots. The trays are also available for P3 and Reaper paints.

The overall size is for the unit is 11x10x6 inches. This way it gives a bunch of storage in the smallest possible space. The trays can be pivoted slightly to make getting to the ones at the back easier.

Custom engraving on the front of each tray is offered at no additional cost. We also offer it in several different acrylic colors in addition to the plywood seen here.

Collapsible Dice Roller

Collapsible Dice Roller

Our Collapsible Dice Roller is a small 5x7" dice roller that will easily fit in you miniatures case. The unit is available in acrylic or wood and supports most standard die sizes.

The unit is pre-drilled for magnets to make transport and use easier. This one is offered with custom engraving and just supply your own black and white line art or have us design a look for you.
