New Products - Metaverse Towers Round 1

So this is the big city. Sky Scrapers and everything.

On most gaming tables the only tall items are the models and the 2 story ruin that is setting on top of a hill. Seldom do you see in-tact buildings over 3 stories tall. Usually these are left to ruins and there only a space that fits 2 or 3 models. The goal of this set was to change that. Now you can easily build unique buildings as tall as you can stack them.

The buildings fall in to categories, lower floors and upper floors. Lower floor buildings are designed with doors while the upper are designed with only windows. The titles are just for sorting purposes. There will be options later to allow lower floors to be used as uppers with balconies so the buildings will better represent the average city. Each kit will include 2 short "end walls", 2 floor/roof pieces, 3 long "face walls" , 1 connector rings and a collection of accessories based on the type of level selected.

Metaverse Towers Lower Level 1 - MT-LL1  $20
This is the basic single story building. It includes 2 different door options in wood and clear acrylic as well door frames.

This is the storage/garage level. It includes both open and closed roller doors and garage doors.

This is the basic second story. It includes custom engraved signs in wood and acrylic to make the buildings and streets stand out.

This options come with large windows and an option for a double door. It includes custom engraved signs in wood and acrylic to make the buildings and streets stand out. Shown with optional hex floor pattern.

These add-on sets are designed to give the buildings a more complete look by adding a storefront signs, overhangs and an elevated base that raises any building about extra inch to give the building a front porch and railing. As with all sets custom engraving is available on the 2 acrylic signs shapes that come with the kit. Prices are for the Topper and Ground Floor only. They require a Lower or Upper level to be complete.

Quickly we run forward taking our covering positions ready for the battle ahead. Once there we see our foe in the distance rushing towards us. The next command appears on my HUD.

COM Squad Command: Deploy Defensive Shielding

As one we all deploy our shields and with a metallic hum and flash of light the photonic defense wall is active and already analyzing enemy fire and deflecting it with timed burst from is repulser field. With the shields in place we begin to return fire fully knowing this battle was already won. The combat engineering team earned their pay with this little toy.

Today we look at a new defensive wall system to complement the Laser Defense Walls. This time around we have a new smaller version based on the idea of a deploy-able shielding system similar to the one in the video game Halo. The idea was to create a man portable shield that could be quickly deployed and fit squarely in the thigh tech world of Sci-Fi.

This kit includes 8 sections of shielding in 2 different sizes, 4-2" and 4-5". Each kit gives 28" of cover and is available in, clear, frosted white, dark grey and the florescent colors of green, orange, blue and pink.

New Products - Damage Counters, Markers and Combat Aids

Never guess at your models wounds again.

Being a game you often have the need to track effects or damage done to your models. We have used everything from little glass beads, slips of paper or the always faulty memory method. All of these work but have their own problems. Beads work nice but can be difficult if you need to track more than one effect on a model. Slips of paper or list are also good but it is very easy to shift damage around to the wrong model either by mistake or for less honorable reasons. Finally the memory method is a lesson for disaster if you have more then 1 model to keep track of. Face it we can keep billions of facts in our heads but most of us can't keep more than a few numbers without mucking stuff up. Also there is the whole less honorable thing to deal with again. Here is how we solve some of those issues on our games.

First up we have damage/tracking markers. These come in a variety of shapes and colors. The ones shown here are transparent blue skulls and multicolored cross hairs. Each is about 1/2" tall and comes in a pack of 20. We also offer 7 other shapes for tracking other effects.  Flames, potion bottles, hazard triangles, cross hairs, swords, lightning bolts and magic swirls. All shapes are made from acrylic and come in default colors but any of 9 different colors of acrylic (red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, white, black and clear) can be selected.

For more detailed tracking we offer larger 1" engraved makers. These are perfect for specific effects. The ones highlighted here are for target tracking, perfect for things like Tau marker light hits in Warhammer 40K. We offer 7 patterns (flames, potion bottles, skull, cross hairs, swords, lightning bolts and magic swirls) as well as custom user supplied versions*. These are sold in packs of 10. All come in default colors but any of 9 different colors of acrylic (red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, white, black and clear) can be selected.

The final item in this release are base damage rings. These base rings are offered in standard 25mm, 40mm, 60 and 80mm bases sizes no lip GW style bases and small, medium, large and extra large Warmachine/Hordes bases as well as large ovals and long pill style bases. Each base will fit 1 model and a 12mm  6 sided die (not included) for tracking hits. Never again lose a marker when moving a fig across the board. Each base is offered in clear acrylic. The frosted is just for pictures as clear doesn't show up as cleanly in photos. Each base is shipped in 2 pieces that need to be glued together. We recommend Testors' clear part cement to keep pieces from hazing when glued but standard CA glue will work.

Event season prepwork, Adepticon and new product launches

Greetings all. Sorry for the lack of new items and post lately. We have been working hard to get new designs and products ready for market and preparing for out annual visit to Adepticon. As part of this prep work we may be a little slow on responding to emails until the event is over. Sorry in advance if you have sent us an email and it has taken a few days for us to respond. We value your contact and business but sometimes we run out of hours in the day.

The obvious follow up question you are probably asking is "What do you have planned for Adepticon?" This year we are working with a couple of groups to showcase some of the new models for display and maybe a few games. The details are still being set but we will post them once everything is all set. We are planning some give away items for the event and video interviews with players and other vendors for those that can't make it to the event.

Ok that is the little stuff, what is the big stuff? Well we are waiting for final approval on our first Kickstarter project. We hope to have all the details of this in time for an Adepticon launch. More details will follow as things progress.

Lastly the webstore is coming along and should be up at the beginning of May. This should make it a little easier to place orders and allow us to launch new products and even limited run items faster. Currently there are 15 new items that need to be launched that we just haven't had time to add to the site because they are small or don't fit in a full long post. Really you can only write so much about a flight stand or tombstone style marker.
